Happy New Year, well a whole month later.
Time for the New Year rant. Truth is, there is one saying the irritates me, and it’s new year, new me; I hate it because it’s soo cliché. New year, new me just puts me in the mind that we are trying to erase our past and completely start over. I could be wrong, but that, in my opinion, is not the best outlook to have on life.
What we should be saying is New Year, better me, or at least something along those lines.
The moment you accept life provides you with lessons, that differentiates you from the next person, the better off you’ll be.
Life isn’t easy and if it was it would be boring. The thing about the hardships in life, they usually provide you with a lesson that you will carry with you forever. Let’s instead accept growth and improving who you are. Can you erase your past and restart? No, and to be honest why would you. The lessons you may have learned last year are the things make you unique and are what differentiates you from the next person.
A new year doesn’t have to mean a new you, it’s just a better you. Your past makes you who you are. Instead of trying to erase the bad friendships, bad relationships, mistakes, or whatever you want to leave behind in 2017, embrace it.
Here’s to a successful year and achieving all our goals, and being a student to what life is ready to teach us.
Happy New Year!
